John Randall Berry

John Randall Berry, 82, of Cridersville, Ohio died on Thursday, June 28, 2012, at 1:20 P.M. at Kindred Hospital in Lima, Ohio.

Born Wednesday, April 4, 1930 in Lackey, Kentucky.

John married Carolyn A. Helmlinger on September 4, 1987. She survives in Cridersville, Ohio. He was a maintenance man at several local offices. He attended The Four Mile School in Lackey, Kentucky. He attended Rousculp Church of Christ. He was a joker and he liked flea markets, trading and garage sales. He was a collector and was known as "Trader John" to many people.

Surviving are: a son, Jack (Bonnie) Berry of Wapakoneta, OH; three daughters, Charlene Kilgore of Wapakoneta, OH, Candy (James "Mitch") Morse of Lima, OH and Donna (Andrew) Cook of Buffalo, NY; a brother, Norrell Smith of Four Mile , KY; a sister, Debra (Noel) Rollins of Lackey, KY: a sister Kathy Addington of West Garrett, KY; Brenda Slone of West Garrett, Ky; Clarence Slone of West Garrett, KY and James (Kim) Slone of Hueysville, KY; Linda Sue (Alvin) Cassell of Perry, OH and Shirley Tincher of LaGrange, KY; twelve grandchildren, seven great grand children; a sister-in-law Jean Smith of Kendallville, Indiana.

He was predeceased by his mother, Erma Berry Triplett; his father Johnnie Slone; four brothers, Homer Slone, Jackie Slone, Tyrone Smith, and Jerome Smith, and sister, Shirley Elkins.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, July 1, 2012, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.

A Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, July 2, 2012 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home with the Pastor Kenny Rader officiating

Entombment will be in Memorial Park Mausoleum, Lima, OH.
