John Bowman

John C. Bowman 58, died at 5:12 p.m. March 4, 2010, at St. Rita?s Medical Center, Lima. He was born Nov. 26, 1951, in Lima to Carl Dean and Mary E. Pentenburg Bowman, who preceded him in death. Mr. Bowman retired from BP in 2002. He loved spending time with his family, friends and the love of his life, Barb Harsh. He loved fishing, traveling, going on cruises, gardening and collecting art. He served in the Army from Dec. 2, 1971, to Sept. 1, 1974. Survivors include two sons, John Bowman and Robert Bowman, both of Elida; a brother, Greg Bowman, of Elida; a sister, Becky Bowman, of Lima; and 12 grandchildren and a friend, Barb Harsh, the love of his life. He was preceded in death by a grandmother, Fredonia Ramge Bowman Bathtel. Services will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Father Joy Poonoly will officiate.
