John Bradshaw

John M. Bradshaw,
82, of Lima, Ohio died on Sunday, January 27, 2013, at 1:20 A.M. at the Lima Convalescent Home in Lima, Ohio.

Born October 11, 1930 in Huntington, Indiana, he was the son of the late Raymond Bradshaw and the late Mary (Freed) Bradshaw.

Mr. Bradshaw retired from Lima Electric Motors and then worked for Lima Armature Works. He married Meredith "Merri" Britt on December 3, 1955. She survives in Lima, OH. He served in the United States Army from 1951 to 1957. He was a member of St. Marks United Methodist Church and its Amity Class, the Lima Lodge #205 F&AM, Scottish Rite - Valley of Dayton - 32nd degree Mason, Hardin Co. Shrine Club, Antioch Shrine, Lima Shrine Club, Life member VFW #6772 - Spencerville and its clown unit, F.O.P. Chapter #8, Former Allen County Special Deputy Sherriff, member of the Lima Memorial Hospital Auxiliary since 1990, with over 7000 volunteer hours, Former member of the Bath Twp. Fire Dept. for 25 years., American Legion Post #96, and a charter member of the Lima Sabres Gun Club.

Surviving are: two sons, Michael W. (Tammy) Bradshaw of Bluffton, OH and Jeffrey M. (Joni) Bradshaw of Selma, OR; two daughters, Pamela Jo (James) Vincent of Delphos, OH and Kathleen A. (Christopher) Farler of Chillicothe, OH; eight grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren; two brothers, Phillip Bradshaw of Elgin, OH and Thomas Bradshaw of Lima, OH; one sister, Donna Stevenson of Middletown, MD.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Lowell Bradshaw.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 from 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home with a Masonic Service at 8:00P.M. followed by a Scottish Rite Ring Service.

Funeral service will be on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Maryann Tomlinson officiating.

Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima, Ohio with a military honors service conducted by the VFW Post 1275

Memorial contributions may be sent to St Marks United Methodist Church Capital Improvements Fund or Lima Memorial Health System Auxiliary.
