John GERLEMAN

72, died at 8:27 p.m. June 8, 2004, at St. Rita's Medical Center, following an extended illness. He was born February 9, 1932, in Lima, Ohio to Edward and Margaret Gallagher Gerleman, who preceded him in death. He married Freda Triplett, who died October 15, 1991. Mr. Gerleman retired in 1992 as a car inspector from CSX Railroad. He was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 370. He was a graduate of St. Rose Catholic High School. He was an avid golfer and a true supporter of Notre Dame Football. Survivors include five children, Jim (Sarah) Gerleman and Linda, Gerleman, who are twins, John (Bridget) Gerleman Jr., Brenda Tenwalde and Jeff (Michelle) Tenwalde, all of Lima, Ohio; a stepdaughter, Vicki (Rick) Rumer of Lima, Ohio; two sisters, Margaret Gerleman and Mary Gerleman, both of Lima, Ohio; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and his fianc?e and caregiver, Pat McClure of Lima, Ohio. He was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Gerleman. There will be no services or visitation. Burial was in Allentown Cemetery.
