John L. Haywood

John L. Haywood, 63 years, of Lima, passed away at 1:20 AM, Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
He was born on August 21, 1950 in Lima to Major and Viola (McKinney) Haywood.
John had worked at the Lima News as an inserter. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan and loved gardening and crafting.
He is survived by his former wife Kyle Haywood of Lima; his daughter Nikole (Tierre) Dansby of Elida; two grandchildren Kaylee Haywood and Jierre Dansby. Also surviving are his siblings Pete (Mitsuko) Haywood of Oakland, CA, Barbara Todd of Paramount, CA, E. Jean Haywood-Corley of Detroit, MI, Cornelia "Connie" Haywood of Los Angeles, CA, Roy Ann Haywood-Daniels of Los Angeles, CA and Demetrius (Wanda) Haywood of Los Angeles, CA and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his siblings Jerry Lee, Robert Lee, Earnestine Wilkerson, Christine Newton, Paul Haywood and Kimberly Haywood.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Monday, February 10, 2014 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima.
A funeral service will follow visitation at 3:00 PM on Monday, February 10, 2014 at the funeral home with Pastor Daniel Hughes officiating
Interment will be at Memorial Park at a later at the convenience of the family.
