Lima JOHN B. McGRAW, 56, died at 6:20 p.m. June 10, 2005, at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born June 2, 1949, in Omaha, Neb., to Dennis and Betty Thill McGraw Jr., who survive in Lima. On Feb. 15, 1969, he married Linda M. (Loggi) McGraw, who survives in Lima. They recently celebrated 36 years together. Mr. McGraw was a graduate of Lima Central Catholic High School. He had worked in many area groceries and was last employed at Rays Eastgate as an assistant manager. He was a member of St. Gerard Catholic Church. He loved fishing and golfing and once shot a hole-in-one. John was a gentle and kind man who will be greatly missed by his family and friends who prayed for him and loved him very much. He served in the U.S. Army from March 3, 1969, to March 1, 1975, during the Vietnam War. Survivors also include a son, Michael (Mandi) McGraw of Lima; a daughter, Lesa (Jim) Brown of Lima; three sisters, Nancy McGraw of Cleveland, Judy (Tony) Backs of Lima and Susie (Andy) O'Neal of Elida; a brother, Denny McGraw III of Akron; and three grandsons, Sean McGraw, Aaron Brown and Hayden McGraw. He was preceded in death by a son, John J. McGraw. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Gerard Catholic Church. Burial will be in Gethsemani Mausoleum in Lima. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home where a parish wake service will be held at 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 616 S.
