John McPheron

John McPheron, 53, passed away at 9:36 a.m. on Friday, May 17, 2024, at his home in Lima with his loving wife by his side. 

John was born on May 24, 1970, in St. Mary’s, Ohio, to Dale McPheron and Sarah (Lininger) McPheron.  On April 22, 2006, he married Carrie (Wireman) McPheron, who survives in Lima.

John attended Bath High School and served in the U.S. Navy.  He worked at Cenovus Lima Refinery as an Analyzer Technician.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He loved spending time with his family and grilling for get-togethers.   John was a wonderful father and husband who adored all of his nieces and nephews.  He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his daughter, Abigail McPheron; brother, Mike McPheron; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; stepmom, Carol McPheron of Punta Gorda, FL; father and mother-in-law, Alvin and Kathy Wireman; and brothers-in-law, Josh and Matt Wireman.  He was preceded in death by his father, Dale McPheron.

The family will receive friends from 5 – 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio.  The funeral service will begin at 12 p.m. on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at the funeral home.  Pastor Dickie McKeever will officiate.  Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warriors.
