John Robert "Lurch" Meyer, 45, died at 4:35 p.m. April 28, 2009, at St. Rita's Medical Center, following a brief but brave battle with lung cancer. He was born Dec. 26, 1963, in Methuen, Mass., to John and Alice Collette Meyer. His father survives. His mother preceded him in death. Mr. Meyer had been a truck driver and a cement mixer driver. He loved the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, camping, having cook-outs and playing horseshoes with his good friends, Gene Mason, Mike B. "Red", J.B. and Dan. He will be missed by his many friends. Survivors also include his life mate, Terry Janeski, of Lima; her son, Bryce Lozier, of Lima; a sister-in-law, Cindy (Gene) Wright, of Milo, Maine; longtime close friends, Tommy and Tina Ireland, of Bradly, Maine; his Lima friends, Tim F., Perry B., Billy and Kia, and Randy and Jeannie; and his faithful companion, Rhyno.
