JOHN DAVID NIELSEN, 54, died at 9:17 p.m. December 26, 2006, at St. Rita?s Medical Center. He was born April 29, 1952, in Lima to John E. and Emma V. Crawford Nielsen. His father preceded him in death. His mother survives in Lima, Ohio. On August 12, 1983, in Lima, Ohio, he married Stella Gibson, who survives in Lima, Ohio. Mr. Nielsen was a truck driver for U. S. Express, Dayton, Ohio for the last 16 years. He had also worked at Buckeye Furniture and R. G. Dun Cigar Factory. He had been a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 370. He was a member of the Sisseton Whapeton Sioux Tribe. He loved music and played the Guitar. He was an avid Cleveland Browns fan. He was a hard worker. Survivors also include four stepsons, Robert (Karen) Hatcher, of Lima, Ohio; James R. (Alisa) Hatcher and Loretta Collins, both of Kenton, Ohio, and Gary W. (Jackie) Hatcher, of Ada, Ohio; a brother, James Nielsen, of Lima, Ohio; a sister, Jennifer Gordon, of Lima, Ohio; and three nephews, Benjamin Gordon, Aaron Gordon and Nathan Gordon. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Joy Nielsen. And Vickie Nielsen. Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Pastor Jim Oates will officiate.
