Joseph "Joe" Blosser
77, died at 11:14 AM on Tuesday, September 23, 2014, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, Ohio.

Joseph was born on August 14, 1937, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Eugene Blosser and Mary (Zerkle) Blosser.

Joseph married Shirley Barnett on January 25, 1985, she survives in Elida. He retired from Procter & Gamble. He served in the United States Navy on the destroyer Waller 466 from 1955 to 1958. He was in the last graduating class at South High School in 1955. He enjoyed Ohio State Football and watching NASCAR racing. He loved to boat and spend time on St. Mary's Lake, and loved attending his grandchildren's sporting events.

He is survived by: a son, Mike (Jackie) Blosser, of Lima, OH, a daughter, Julie (Larry) Golliher, of Cridersville, OH, a son, Tim (Jolene) Joseph, of Bluffton, OH, and a daughter, Kim Albright, of New Riegel, OH; nine grandchildren, Erika Blosser, Averi Gamache, Sara Szymanski, Hunter Joseph, Sidney Joseph, Zoie Joseph, Weston Barry, Kristen Barry, Steve Joseph Jr; two great grandchildren, Josselyn and Macy; three sisters, Alice Caughman, Judy Herbst, and Mary Lou (Jim) Keller; a sister-in-law, Pat (Bill) Wetmore; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by: a grandson, Christopher Blosser; two sons Randy Joseph and Steve Joseph; a son-in-law, Marvin Golliher; two nephews, Chris Rutledge and Jeff Caughman.

The family would like to express a very special thank you for the wonderful care they received from Dr. Tuma and the nursing staff in CCU at St. Rita's Medical Center.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, September 26, 2014 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.

A funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, OH. Rev. Wanda Werking will officiate.

Interment will be in Memorial Park Mausoleum.
