JOSEPH CHARLES ELLERBROCK, 86, died at 3:40 p.m. March 3, 2005, at Sheridan Medical Complex, Kenosha, Wisconsin. He was born July 12, 1918, in Cloverdale, Ohio to George and Veronica Ruen Ellerbrock, who preceded him in death. On May 4, 1946, in Landeck, he married Kathleen Freund, who died July 3, 2000. Mr. Ellerbrock worked as a farmer before serving his country in the Army during World War II. He then worked at a bakery before he became a truck driver and was a member of the Teamsters. He was a member of St. Gerard Church and its Holy Name Society, and became very active with the church after his retirement. His special interests included fishing, woodworking and gardening. Survivors include a son, Dennis (Michelle "Micki") Ellerbrock of Camp Lake, Wisconsin; a daughter, Darlene Armstrong of Columbus Grove, Ohio; two brothers, John Ellerbrock of Cincinnati, Ohio and Sylvester (Jackie) Ellerbrock of El Paso, Texas; six grandchildren, Matthew Ellerbrock, Mark Ellerbrock, Lisa Ann Garner, Jason Armstrong, Crystal Armstrong and Michael Armstrong; and 10 great-grandchildren, Kyle, Gavin, Julianna, Nathan, Jacob, Dystiny, Pierce, Joshua, Joseph and Rachel. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Armella, Clotilda and Roseann. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday at St. Gerard Catholic Church. Burial will be in Gethsemani Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Gerard Church.
