Joseph Stevens

JOSEPH D. "JOE" STEVENS, 61, died Nov. 1, 2005, at his residence. He was born Aug. 18, 1944, in Lima to Malond "Jack" and Kathleen "Katie" (Christian) Haight, who preceded him in death. On May 28, 1966, he married Dyann R. Roush, who survives in Lima. Mr. Stevens was a journeyman machinist. He was a member of AMVETS Post 1 and American Legion Post 96. He was an Air Force veteran serving during the Vietnam War, from June 13, 1962, to Dec. 30, 1965. Survivors also include two sons, Gregory A. "Greg" (Debbie) Stevens and Scott M. Stevens, both of Lima; two daughters, Erica M. Stevens and Dawn R. Stevens Smith, both of Lima; seven grandchildren, Nichole Martin, D.J. Martin, Jamie Lynn Stevens, Seth M. Hanjora, Ashley M. Smith, Tyler J. Smith and Karla Sue (Randy) Klett; and two great-grandchildren, Morgan Sue Klett and Wyatt Edward Klett. Services will begin at 10 a.m. Friday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. Douglas E. Adams will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
