78, died at 5:23 PM on Monday, October 07, 2013, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, Ohio.
Joseph was born on Tuesday, December 04, 1934, in New Lexington, Ohio, to the late Lawrence Studer and Catherine (Dumalt) Studer.
On October 1, 1960, he married Frances "Maxine" (McGillis) Studer who survives in Cherokee, NC.
He was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church and Lay Eucharistic Distributor. He was a poll worker for the Board of Election for many years. He worked Pow Wow set ups all over for over 20 years with his wife. He loved to smile and joke around.
He is survived by two sons Major Laurence W. (Roberta) Studer of Whispering Pines, NC and Charles Joseph Studer of Colorado Springs, CO; a daughter Mary Joleen Studer of Cherokee, NC; also surviving are two granddaughters Catherine Studer and Hannah Studer; friend Lucy Ross of Lima, OH,
He was preceded in death by a brother Kenneth Studer and a sister Mary Lillian Studer.
A memorial Mass will be held at a later date at the convenience of his family.
