Josephine Shaw

Josephine W. Shaw, 90, died at 10:20 p.m. November 15, 2008, at The Ridge at Shawnee. She was born February 19, 1918, in Ottoville to Charles and Anna Pletscher Perrin, who preceded her in death. On August 26, 1939, she married Ralph E. Shaw, who died May 9, 2002. Mrs. Shaw was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Lima and its Altar Rosary Society. She was a member of the Railroaders Wives Club. Survivors include two daughters, Sharon DeTurk, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Cheryl (Mark) Long, of Alexandria, Indiana; two sons, Gary (Lynn) Shaw, of Akron, Ohio, and Dennis Shaw, of Lima, Ohio; two sisters, Kathryn Miller and Mary Grothouse, both of Delphos, Ohio; nine grandchildren, Kim, Teresa, David, Michael, Cory, Robby, Corrine, Derek and Andrea; and three great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Randy Shaw; a son-in-law, Jack DeTurk; a daughter-in-law, Pat Shaw; and a brother, Bud Perrin. Services will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. David Ross will officiate. Burial will be in Gethsemani Cemetery, Lima. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to a charity of the donor?s choice.
