Joyce Ann Adkins,
75, of Lima, Ohio died on Saturday, December 29, 2012, at 6:10 P.M. at Springview Manor Nursing Home in Lima.
Born December 20, 1937 in Lima, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Marion Elmer Sterling and the late Ella Mae (Booher) Sterling.
Joyce had worked at the Lima Telephone Company as a telephone operator and Dana Corporation in Security. She was a member of the Lima Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed doing puzzles, crafts and loved Elvis.
Surviving are: son, Rick (Barb) Adkins of Lima, OH; former husband, Lester (Helen) Adkins of Lima; one grandson, Erick Adkins, of Lima; one great granddaughter, Addilynn Adkins of Lima.
She was preceded in death by: two brothers, Charles Sterling and Bill Sterling; two sisters, Shirley Leib and Mary Lou Wingate.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, January 2, 2013, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home with the Rev. Terry Brock officiating.
Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
