JOYCE E. FOCKLER, 77, died at 3:51 p.m. February 16, 2005, at Lima Memorial Health System. She was born October 20, 1927, in Lima, Ohio to Norman and Mildred Kanawl Allen, who preceded her in death. On June 15, 1947, she married Donald D. Fockler, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Fockler was a homemaker and had been an office assistant for Dr. Arthur Rossfeld. She was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher. She had been a member of Peace Lutheran Church. She was a volunteer at Lima Memorial Health System for the children's developmental center and the visitors' desk and had crocheted countless hats and booties for its nursery. She was a volunteer at the American Red Cross. Survivors include two daughters, Brenda S. Craft and Beth (Michael) Milks, both of Ada, Ohio; a brother, James Allen of Lima, Ohio; a sister, Carolyn (Richard) Prince of Elida, Ohio; and five grandchildren and a great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by two sons, James Joseph Fockler and Steven Allen Fockler; a brother, Ronald Allen; and a sister-in-law, Pat Allen. Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church. Pastor Robert Gibson will officiate. Burial will be in St. Matthew Cemetery near Cridersville. Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church Radio Fund.
