Joyce Ann Merry

Surrounded by her loving family Joyce Ann Merry, 66, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer at 2:35 P.M. on Sunday, February 09, 2014, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, Ohio.
Joyce was born on February 19, 1947, in Lima, to the late William Heckman and Helen (Lanning) Heckman, who survives.
Joyce was united in marriage to Bruce M. Merry on August 24, 1968. He survives in Lima. Joyce was a devoted wife and mother who cherished her family, children and grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with her loving husband, watching Nascar and Friday night sprint car races at Limaland. She also enjoyed traveling to visit her children and grandchildren in Wisconsin and Tennessee.
She is survived by: two sons Robert (Erin) Merry, of Sheboygan, WI; and Travis (Angela) Merry, of Knoxville, TN; as well as her five grandchildren: Alex, Lauren, and Ian Merry of Sheboygan, WI and Paige and Chloe Merry of Knoxville, TN. She is further survived by her mother June Heckman of Lima, a sister Vicki (Terry) Selby of Lima, a brother William (Linda) Heckman of Dayton and brother-in-law Bill Glaze of Huntsville, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by: two sisters, Karen Glaze, and Barbara June Heckman.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.
A memorial service will begin at 7:00 PM on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, OH. with Father Stephen Blum will be officiating.
Private family interment will be in Gethsemani Cemetery, Lima, Ohio at a later date.
