Joyce Perkins

Joyce Ann Perkins, 49, died at 12:51 p.m. June 11, 2008, at The Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus, from a sudden illness. She was born Dec. 14, 1958, in Lima to Harvey and Vinetty Wi l l i a m s Perkins. Her father preceded her in death. Her mother survives in Lima. Miss Perkins attended Perry High School. She enjoyed knitting, sewing and watching cooking shows. She was an avid Cleveland Browns fan. Survivors also include a son, Jeffery (Stephanie) Kurtz, of Lima; a sister, Kim (Cub) Burden, of Lima; four brothers, Harvey J. (Nancy) Perkins, of Lima, Kelly R. (Michelle) Perkins, of Waynesfield, Jimmy (Rebecca) Perkins, of Lyons, Ore., and Jodie Perkins, of Lima; a companion, Dan Neely, of Harrod; three grandchildren, Alexis ?LaLa? Kurtz, Brady Scott ?Boo? Kurtz and Jordan Johnson; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Danny ?Buck? Perkins. Services will begin at 1 p.m. Monday at Cridersville Independent Baptist Church. Ed Wireman will officiate. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, and one hour prior to services Monday at the church.
