Joyce Ann (Fox) Reedy

Joyce Ann (Fox) Reedy, 85, passed away peacefully at Elmcroft of Lima on Friday, February 21, 2020. She was born in Luray, VA on June 21, 1934 and was the daughter of the late D. Elmer and Kathryn (Bradford) Fox of Manassas, VA.

Mrs. Reedy graduated from Osbourn High School in 1952. She was an avid bowler and scored many high point games. She was a longtime member of Bethel Lutheran Church in which she served as organist and choir director. Mrs. Reedy retired from Prince William Public School System with spending the majority of her career as secretary of Parkside Elementary. Mrs. Reedy loved music and was a piano teacher for over 30 years.

She was preceded in death by her siblings: Robert Fox, Ruth (Fox) Johnson, Audrey (Fox) Evans and Carroll Fox.

Mrs. Reedy loved her family and is survived by her children: David L. Reedy and partner Tom Schlagbaum of Lima, Ohio/Winter Haven, Florida; Craig L. Reedy and wife Irmgard Krug of Manassas, VA and Mary Kathryn Dunkle and husband Kerry of Sykesville, MD. She was the proud grandmother of Zachary Reedy, Jacob and Ryan Dunkle, Jordan Reedy, Matthew, Katie, and Michael Krug.

The family will receive friends at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas, VA on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, where a funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2020 at 1:00 PM with family friend Mrs. Carla Tibbs officiating. Interment will follow at Stonewall Memory Gardens, Manassas, VA.
