Juanita B. Smith, 93 of Lima, died at 3:15 PM Friday, November 23, 2012, at St. Rita's Medical Center.
Born Thursday, September 25, 1919 in Lima, she was the daughter of the late John Newland and the late Lyda (Hall) Newland. She married James E. Smith on January 21, 1939 in Lima, he died on April 11, 1984.
She was an avid golfer. She was a loving mother and devoted to her family.
Surviving are a son; James Smith of Lima, two daughters; Jane (George) Wahl of Columbus, and Joan C. (Jack) Arnold of Cairo. and son John (Davar) Smith of Severna Park, MD She is also survived by nine grandchildren; Eric (Beth) Wahl, Brian (Jodi) Arnold, Amy Arnold, Jeff (Erin) Wahl, Scott (Carrie) Arnold, Zachary (Kristina) Smith, Michael Smith, Daniel Smith, Joseph Smith, also surviving are twelve great-grandchildren: Nolan, Kayla, Camden, Addison, Connor, Josey, Jacob, Cooper, Grace, Olivia, Zoe and Charlotte, also four step-grandchildren; Saied Ghaffari, Samira Ghaffari, Aman Ardalan, Amir Ardalan and
She was preceded in death by a brother Russel Vorhees and a sister May Richards.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home with the Rev. Greg Coleman and Todd Cosart officiating.
Interment will be in Glen Cemetery, Port Jefferson, OH.
Visitation will be from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, November 26, 2012, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.
