Judith A. Crowe, 63, died at 4:03 a.m. Nov. 17, 2011, at her residence.
She was born Sept. 30, 1948, in Kenton to Arthur L. and Pauline M. Neumann Crowe. Her father preceded her in death. Her mother survives in Ada.
Miss Crowe worked in telecommunications at Embarq for 42 years, retiring in 2010 as manager. She was a member of Calvary Bible Church where she was a Sunday school teacher and a choir member. She began playing shuffleboard in 2003 and was a member of the Bluffton Shuffleboard Club, serving as club vice president in 2009 and president in 2010. She belonged to the Buckeye District Volleyball Officials Association and was its president, secretary and treasurer. She recently had become eligible to referee at the State Girls High School Volleyball tournament. She served as athletic director of Lima Christian Academy and was the tournament director for the Buckeye Christian School Association.
Survivors also include a brother, Roger E. (Julie) Crowe, of Kenton; two nephews, Tim (Paulette) Crowe, of Charleston, S.C., and David Crowe, of Kalamazoo, Mich.; a niece, Miranda (Bryan Henry) Crowe, of Perrysburg; a sister-in-law, Arlene Crowe, of Palm Desert, Calif.; two stepnieces, Aubrey Kramas and Jessica Parker; and two stepnephews, Jordan Manci and Craig Parker.
She was preceded in death by a brother, David Crowe; a nephew, R. Dean Crowe; and a niece, Marcia Crowe.
Services will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at Calvary Bible Church. The Rev. Keith Hamblen will officiate. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger.
Friends may call from 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.
