Judy E. Heath
89, died at 1:50 PM on Sunday, February 7, 2016, at Shawnee Manor Nursing Home in Lima, Ohio.
Judy was born on August 4, 1926, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Clarence G. Bice and Eva May (Rinehart) Bice. On Sunday, March 3, 1946, in Lima, Ohio, she married Eugene E.Heath who preceded her in death on March 26, 1993.
Judy retired from Westinghouse where she had worked as the Executive Secretary to the Plant Manager. She was in the Aero Space Program and was 1 of 2 secretaries that had special government clearance. She sang with the Lima Chapter of the Sweet Adelines, and also was a member of the Red Hats Society. She enjoyed Bowling, participating in Women's Doubles, Mixed Doubles, and League events. She was a member of the Lima Bowling Association and was an officer of the LBA. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She thoroughly enjoyed traveling and attending sporting events from the time her children were young all the way up to her great grandchildren. She loved her cat Teddy.
She is survived by, her son, Phillip E. (Diana) Heath, of Lima, OH, a daughter, Rebecca (Robert) Briggs, of Abbeville, SC, four grandchildren, Amy Evans, of Germantown, OH, Gina Heath, of Columbus, OH, Wendi (Christopher) Carson, of Atlanta, GA. and Stephanie (Manns) Campbell of Atlanta GA., seven great grandchildren Heath Evans, Sean Evans, Paige Evans, all of Germantown, OH, Patrick Carson, Andrew Carson, Emily Campbell, and Brooke Campbell,all of Atlanta, Ga., a sister, Nell Schulz of Orlando, Fl.
She was preceded in death by a sister Shirley DeForest.
The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Trinity United Methodist Church.
A funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Lima, OH. Rev David Harris will officiate.
Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima, Ohio.
