Julia A. (Finn) Desenberg, 65, of Lima, Ohio and formerly of Lebanon, Ohio. Passed away on February 1, 2025, at Lima Convalescent Nursing Home.
Julia was born on July 28, 1959, in Cincinnati, Ohio to George and Dorothy (Nomina) Finn.
Julia graduated from Lebanon High School in 1977 and Mount Saint Joseph University School of Nursing in 1982. She worked for 42 years as a registered nurse. She always had a sweet laugh and smile and truly was a “Jewel”. She enjoyed spending time with family, friends and trivia nights.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her son, Anthony David Huckeriede; husband, Ronald Desenberg; aunts, Sister Elizabeth “Betty Lou” Finn and Mary Ann Finn; and an uncle John “Jack” Finn.
She is survived by her children, Brian (Jackie) Huckeriede, Thomas Huckeriede; and stepson, Andrew Desenberg; grandchildren, Aiden and Finn Huckeriede; brothers, Jack (Shelia) Finn of Colorado and Michael (Beth) Finn of Lebanon, Ohio; an aunt, Margaret (Dave) Shindollar; an uncle, Melvin Nomina; significant other, Darrin Neal; niece, Megan (Thomas) Lyons; nephews, Patrick Finn, Joseph Finn, Daniel Finn and John Finn; and many loving cousins and friends that will miss her dearly.
The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Lima, Ohio, followed by a mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Father Kent Kaufman will officiate. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Lima, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Charles Catholic Church for masses.
