Julia Loebbaka,
90 of Lima, Ohio died on Tuesday, August 9, 2011, at Springview Manor Nursing Home in Lima, Ohio.
Born Wednesday, April 6, 1921 in Lima, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late William B. Miller and the late Gertrude Mauthe Miller.
She had worked as a secretary for the Allen County Juvenile Courts. She was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church; St. Vincent DePaul Society, and was involved with Heartbeat and the Soup Kitchen. Our beautiful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother was the heart and soul of our lives. She was selfless and humble, giving to whomever she came in contact with. She was a role model, mentor, and friend to her children, happily welcoming all their friends into her home. She was witty and wise and always had her eyes set on following Jesus. Her faith sustained her through troubling times but always, always was the most loving of mothers.
Surviving are son, Michael (Elizabeth) Loebbaka of Saugerties, NY, daughters, Marsha (Garrett Chafin) Loebbaka of Elida, OH, Janice (Mark Brown) Loebbaka of Columbus, OH and Lynn (Dennis) Bower of Lima, OH, four grandchildren, Sara & (David) Gudorf, Michael Wallace, Michael & (Eden) Loebbake, Jr. , Rosie Loebbaka, four Great Grandchildren. and a sister, Trudy Schrantz of California.
She was predeceased by brothers, Bill Miller, Joe Miller, Father Richard Miller, Daniel Miller and Edward Miller, sisters, Catherine Diepenbrock, Rosemary Sliemers and Rita Crow.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 AM on Friday at St. Rose Catholic Church, Lima, Oho with the Father David M. Ross officiating. Interment will be in Gethsemani Cemetery, Lima, OH.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, August 11, 2011, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, , , . Memorial contributions may be sent to St. Rose Catholic Church .
