Julianna NIESE

August 6, 1924 — June 25, 2005

JULIANNA M. NIESE, 80, died at 12:40 p.m. June 25, 2005, at her residence. She was born Aug. 6, 1924, in Kalida to August and Matilda Wehri Siebeneck, who preceded her in death. On June 1, 1949, in Kalida, she married Albert G. Niese, who survives in Lima. Mrs. Niese was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church and its Catholic Ladies of Columbia. Survivors also include three sons, Michael (Elaine) Niese of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Donald (Sherri) Niese and Ronald Niese, both of Lima; six daughters, Rose Ann (Lloyd) Minton of Lima, Patricia Niese of Greenville, Marie Niese at home, Betty (Mike) Quigley of Cincinnati and Mary Alice Niese and Barbara (Carl) Hambleton, both of Lima; a brother, Joe (Helen) Siebeneck of Ottawa; a sister-in-law, Mary Siebeneck of Kalida; 11 grandchildren, Anthony, Christina, Jessica, Nicole, Britney, Nathan, Meredith, Dalton, Matthew, Alexandra and Kyle; and two great-grandchildren, Chasity and Joshua. She was preceded in death by three sons, Albert, Jerry and Paul Niese; a daughter, Jane Niese; a brother, Henry Siebeneck; and three sisters, Sister Augustina, Adelia Siebeneck and Magdalen Dickman. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Charles Catholic Church. The Rev. Stephen Blum will officiate. Burial will be in Gethsemani Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today and 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, where a CLC service will be held at 4 p.m. and a wake service will be held at 8 p.m., both on Wednesday.
