81, died at 6:17 AM on Tuesday, September 5, 2017, at Lima Memorial Health System in Lima, Ohio.
Julie was born on August 26, 1936, in Cumberland Co., Illinois, to the late Oliver Cougill and Olive (Dodds) Cougill . On Friday, September 22, 1972, she married Wilbur Myers who survives in Lima.
Julie retired as co-owner of Myers Dental Lab. She was a Charter Member (1962) of Beta Omega Chapter of Sigma Beta Sorority. She loved singing, music, dancing, bowling, bridge, pinochle, and being outside in her garden. She adored animals and loved to feed the animals in her back yard, but most of all she loved her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Cathy Basinger and her step-daughter Beth (Brian) Bell, and step-son, Robert (Vivian) Myers; nine grandchildren, Bill Basinger, Jamie (Deana) Basinger, Joe (Erin) Pence, Alex (Erin) Pence, Nicole (Dan) Riechelderfer, Meredith Bell, Morgan (Guy) Andrews, Melissa (Mike) Smithson, Ryan Myers and several great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Lee Basinger, a son, Craig Allen Basinger, a daughter, Chrys Ann Pence.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Friday, September 8, 2017 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.
A funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM on Friday, September 8, 2017 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, OH. Rev. Wanda Werking will officiate.
Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Lima, Ohio.
