June A. Beard, 96 of Lima, Ohio died on Friday, November 4, 2011, at Lima Manor Nursing Home in Lima, Ohio.
Born Thursday, January 28, 1915 in Lima, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Hugh McElroy and the late Norma VanSchoyck McElroy. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, William O. Beard
June was a homemaker and had worked at the DWG Cigar Factory and was in Housekeeping at several area Nursing Homes. She was a member of the Elks Lodge #54, Lima, and the Eagles Aerie #370, Lima. She loved bowling, Bingo and playing cards with her monthly card club.
Surviving are: a daughter, Gloria Beard of Lima, OH., a son William O. (Judy) Beard, Jr. of Pemberville, Ohio, five grandchildren, Renee (Paul) Zink of Gahanna, Ohio, Mark (Lynne) Beard of Perrysburg, Ohio, Michelle Miller of Maumee, Ohio, Scott Beard of Pemberville, Ohio, Lisa (Tom) Bres of East Lansing, Michigan, eleven great grandchildren, Christopher Beard, Nicholas Beard, Jacob Beard, Rachael Zink, Kristin Zink, Shane Miller, Cameron Beard, Alex Bres, Jason Bres, Rachael Bres, Hailey Bres, a brother George (Louise) McElroy of Dundee, Oregon.
She was predeceased by brother, Alvin McElroy.
Visitation will be Sunday, November 6, 2011 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral home from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. followed immediately by a Memorial Service.
