June E. Herron
85, of Lima, passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at St. Rita's Medical Center. She was born on May 19, 1931 in Cozad, Nebraska to the late Fred and Lucile {Ashley} Sanks. On May 17, 1950, she married George Herron, who preceded her in death on September 16, 2012.
June is survived by her son Joe (Brenda) Herron, grandchildren; Joey (Becky) Herron, Justin (Heather) Herron, Nikki Herron, Dustin Herron, and Laura Herron, great-grandchildren; Vincent Ridings, Marissa Herron, and Trevor Herron, sister Betty Juel of Lexington, NE, brother-in-law Ancel Herron, sister-in-law Rose Sanks, and two special people; Wilma Burden and Chrissy (Warner) Hicks.
June is preceded in death by her husband, son Junior Herron, son Willie Herron, grandson Jason Herron, brother David Sanks, and other family.
June was a Sunday school teacher for over 30 years, loved to read, travel and spend time with her family. She collected salt and pepper shakers for over 60 years.
Her family will receive friends on Sunday, September 11, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio.
A funeral service will begin on Monday, September 12, 2016 at 1 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be at Amanda Township Cemetery in Amanda, Ohio.
