Jykese Cartwright

Jykese R. Cartwright, 15, of Columbus, passed from this life on Thursday, July 29, 2021.

He was born on January 5, 2006 in Lima to Jacquavious Cartwright and Katrela Averett, they both survive him.

Jykese interests include basketball, playing games, and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, Jacquavious Cartwright and Katrela (Reggie Sankey) Averett, he leaves to cherish 4 sisters: Nykazia Averett of Columbus, A’Zariah Watson, Jy’aizah Cartwright of Michigan and Kynlee Bailey of Lima; 3 brothers: Nykese Averett of Columbus, Zy’aire Holloway and Jy’arious Cartwright of Michigan; maternal grandmother, Vanessa Averett of Lima; maternal grandfather, Eugene Lowe of Lima; paternal grandmother, Joyce Smith of Lima; and paternal grandfather, Rooney Cartwright.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfathers; Amos Smith and Johnny Hall Sr.; and aunt, Tuanisha Smith.

His family will receive friends on Saturday, August 7, 2021 from 8-10 a.m. at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, where a funeral service will follow at 10 a.m. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Lima.
