Karren Sue Carr, 51, died at 2:50 p.m. April 27, 2008, at St. Rita?s Medical Center. She was born November 25, 1956, in Defiance, Ohio to Roy and Pearl Kathrine Auxier Edwards, who preceded her in death. On August 15, 1978, she married Gary Carr, who survives in Lima, Ohio. Mrs. Carr was a homemaker and was a secretary for the Allen County Special Olympics. She was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church. She was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 370. She was an avid bingo player at the Humane Society. Survivors also include her foster parents, William and Hazel Rose; a son, Gary William Carr II, at home; two sisters, Rox Anna Edwards (Lewis) Russell, of Lima, Ohio, and Deb (Dan) Murray, of Parkersburg, W.Virginia; a sister, Amy (Scott) Fields, of Cumming, Georgia; two brothers, Roy (Kathy) Edwards Jr., of Luttrett, Tennessee, and Mike (Deann) Edwards, of Norwood, Georgia; a sister-in-law, Cheryl (Denny) Wolf, of Lima, Ohio; and her good friend, Anna Headrick, of Chatsworth, Georgia She was preceded in death by a son, Roy Joseph Carr. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Howard M. Allison will officiate. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Brunersburg Cemetery, Defiance, Ohio. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, where an FOE Auxiliary service will be held at 6 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Allen County Special Olympics.
