KATELYN BONITA WESSEL, 13, died at 12:56 p.m. July 5, 2004, at Lima Memorial Hospital from complications of Rett Syndrome. She was born October 25, 1990, in Lima, Ohio to Eric Wessel and Kimberly Osborn Konst. Her father survives in Lima, Ohio. Her mother and stepfather, Ken Konst, also survive in Lima, Ohio. Katelyn was a student at Marimor School. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. She was a member of Girl Scout Troop 365 and the Lima Steelers Backer Fan Club. She participated in the Equestrian Therapy Program and enjoyed camping at Robin's Nest. She loved golf cart rides, Barney videos, swimming, dancing, music, The Ohio State University and all animals. She shared the gift of life through tissue donation. Survivors also include a brother, James Wessel at home; a sister, Hope Wessel at home; paternal grandparents, James and Eileen Wessel of New Knoxville, Ohio; paternal great-grandmother, Alfrieda Wessel of St. Mary?s, Ohio; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Larry "Bud" and Charlene Osborn; and maternal step grandfather, Paul Konst Sr. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home Services will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at Grace United Methodist Church.
