Kathleen RYAN

KATHLEEN A. "KATHY" RYAN, 53, died at 5:05 p.m. March 23, 2006, at Lima Memorial Health System. She was born July 27, 1952, in Lima to Bernard and Norma Beining Reindel. Her father survives and her mother preceded her in death. On July 1, 1978, she married Patrick D. Ryan in Lima, and he survives. Mrs. Ryan was an educational consultant for the Yes Learning and Computing Center for 21 years. She was a former teacher at St. Charles Catholic Elementary School and Apollo Vocational School. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 370, Lima. She was active at the Tanya School of Dance and an avid runner. She was a volunteer for the Samaritan House and Habitat for Humanity. She sponsored children through the Christian Children's Fund. Survivors also include a son, Devon P. Ryan of San Francisco; four brothers, Louis (Barb) Reindel of Spencerville, Larry (Amy) Reindel of Delphos, Bob (Vicki) Reindel of Delphos, and Tom (Brenda Diehl) Reindel of Delphos; five sisters, Roxann (Louis) Bonifas of Columbus Grove, Karen (Rick) Bruns of New Haven, Ind., Donna (Craig) Burkholder of Lima, Margie (Greg) Basinger of Columbus Grove, and Mary (Stephan) Hodgson of Mansfield; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Services will be conducted privately at the convenience of the family. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.
