Kathleen Schaefer

Kathleen Kay ?Kathy? Schaefer , 61, died at 4:20 a.m. April 14, 2009, at Lima Memorial Health System. She was born August 16, 1947, in Lima, Ohio to Cledith and Ethel Stroud McNamara, who preceded her in death. On June 28, 1969, she married Randall A Schaefer, who survives in Lima, Ohio. Mrs. Schaefer had been a long-distance telephone operator for United Telephone and had worked for Tower Comm Communications. She was a member and former president of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 370 Auxiliary. She was a 1966 graduate of Bath High School She loved her family, grandchildren and cooking. Survivors also include a son, Randall A (Teresa) Schaefer Jr., of Lima, Ohio; two daughters, Susan Marie Schaefer and Patricia Ann (Mark) Nelson, both of Lima, Ohio; two grandchildren, Katie Rose Schaefer and Randall A Schaefer III; two step grandchildren, Bryan Giesige and Tyler Giesige; two sisters, Ardenia Dunlap, of Lima, Ohio, and Rebecca (William) Hullenkremer, of Van Buren, Ohio; a brother, Cledith (Joetta) McNamara, of Lima, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Neil Carlson will officiate. Entombment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today and 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Lima Community Church of the Nazarene.
