Kathryn Williams

Kathryn Williams, 74, passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at James Cancer Hospital, Columbus, OH. 

Kathryn was born on December 27, 1949, in Lima, OH, to the late Russell and Evelyn (Leppla) Armstrong. On October 22, 1977, she married the love of her life, Larry Williams, who survives in Elida. They were married 47 years.

Kathryn was a 1968 graduate of Elida High School. She worked at St. Rita’s Medical center as President of the Foundation and Director of Development, retiring after 40+ years with them. She was an avid pickleball player and loved her Lima pickleball family. In her younger years she played tennis at the Orchard Hills Tennis Club. Kathryn enjoyed all outdoor activities and spending time at their condo at Indian Lake. She was a Cincinnati Bengals and OSU football fan, enjoyed reading and had a love for music. Kathryn lived her life to the fullest and never knew a stranger. She will be missed very much.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Brandon (Megan Jewell) Williams of Columbus, OH; brother, Ronald Armstrong of Houston, TX; and sister, Wilma Nagel of Waynesville, OH; nieces and nephews: Ruth Ann, Ron, Dawn, Alan, Karen, Ashleigh, and Haley; 9 great-nieces and nephews; special cousins, Nancy Barton of Spartanburg, SC and Candy Smith of Greer, SC.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jack Armstrong; sister, LuAnn Armstrong; brother, Bob (Leola) Armstrong; and aunt, Leola (Bob) Armstrong.

The family will receive friends from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 15, 2024, at the funeral home. Pastor Samuel Payne will officiate. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Elida. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Deb’s Dogs, Crate Escape, American Cancer Society, or donor’s choice.
