Kelly Sturgill

Kelly Sturgill, 78, died at 8:25 p.m. December 22, 2009, at St. Rita?s Medical Center in Lima, Ohio. He was born June 9, 1931, in Hindman, Kentucky, to William and Eda Hale Sturgill, who have preceded him in death. Mr. Sturgill retired from the city of Lima Water Department after 30 years. He enjoyed hunting and yard work. Survivors include a sister, Mary Ann Jacobs, of Hindman, Kentucky; a sister-in-law, Virginia Lee Sturgill, of Lima, Ohio, who was his caregiver; three nieces, Rose (Bob) Hartman, of Lima, Ohio, Betty (Carl) Schimpf, of Lima, Ohio, and Harriett Whitted, of Lima, Ohio; three nephews, Claude (Ruth Ann) Sturgill, of Lima, Ohio, Ken (Cathy) Sturgill, of Lima, Ohio, and Rick (Jan) Straw, of Fort Wayne, Indiana; and ten great-nieces and four great-nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers, James Sturgill, Mack Sturgill and Hurlis Sturgill; and three sisters, his twin, Rhoda Sturgill, Lena McClintock and Ella Whitted. Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 28, 2009, at Cham-berlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio. Robert Hartman II will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima, Ohio. Friends may call from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 26, 2009, at the funeral home.
