KELSEY F. GIBBS, 83, died at 6:30 a.m. November 25, 2004, at his residence. He was born April 23, 1921, in Lima, Ohio to Willis and Agnes Maxwell Gibbs, who preceded him in death. On April 5, 1942, he married Betty Marcelle Cheney, who survives in Lima, Ohio. Mr. Gibbs worked at Sohio and B.P. for 35 years as an electric supervisor, retiring in 1984. He was a member of Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge 54, Free and Accepted Masons Lodge 205, the Quarter Century Club at B.P., and the Lima Refinery Action Club. He served in the Army in the 14th Armored Division at the Battle of the Bulge. He was a model train enthusiast. Survivors also include a son, Michael (Sharon) Gibbs of Lima, Ohio; three grandchildren, Ronya (Frank) Velasco of Tampa, Florida, Tonya Gibbs of Sidney, Ohio, and Stephen Gibbs of Columbus, Ohio; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul Gibbs and Harold Gibbs; and a sister, Mary Roush. Graveside services will begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima, with military rites by VFW Post 1275. The Rev. David Williams will officiate. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. today at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Rita's Hospice, 770 W.
