Kenneth A. Bailey 62, died at 4:06 a.m. March 17, 2010, at St. Rita?s Medical Center. He was born September 5, 1947, in Lima, Ohio to Guy E. and Marguerite ?Marge? Hetrick Bailey, who preceded him in death. On November 25, 1970, he married Nancy L. Conley, who survives in Lima, Ohio. Mr. Bailey was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 370, Lima, Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 199, and American Legion Post 96. He was a member of the Northland Men?s Bowling League. He enjoyed building street rods, bowling, hunting, fishing and watching his nieces and nephews play sports. He was an avid supporter of Lima Senior High School athletics. He was a 1965 graduate of Lima Senior High School. He was a foreman with Alexander and Bebout Construction, Van Wert, Ohio. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in Vietnam. Survivors also include two brothers, Larry (Carol) Bailey, of Waynesfield, Ohio, and William Bailey, of Sacramento, California; two sisters, Connie Hime, of Lander, Wyo., and Pam Sinica, of Lima, Ohio; numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews who he loved dearly; two brothers-in-law, Thomas (Roberta) Conley, of Westerville, Ohio, and John (Patty) Conley, of Lima, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Jan (Frank) Terry, of Lima, Ohio; close friends Dave and Deb Vorhees, of Lima, Ohio; and his buddy, Lilly the cat. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jennifer Bailey. Services will begin at 6 p.m. Sunday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. Howard Allison will officiate. Military rites will be performed by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1275. Friends may call from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Lima Rescue Mission.
