Monday, January 18, 2016 at 2:34 PM at Wapak Manor, God called Kim home.

Kim was born on Thursday, August 31, 1961, in Lima, Ohio to the late Harold and Ava (Cash) Melton who survives. On September 10, 1984, she married Paul Kunkleman who preceded her death.

Kim was a member of High Street United Methodist Church, where she played on the Softball League as shortstop. Kim was also involved, with her husband Paul, as Youth Leaders. Later her membership moved with the Church, to Westside United Methodist Church, Lima.

Kim was an avid Pittsburg Steelers fan. She and her son enjoyed watching the games together. Kim especially loved baseball and was a fan of most teams (except the Yankees). She and her good friend Seph frequented many Reds games.

Kim battled her illnesses courageously and never let it stand in the way for her zest of life. Kim's faith and love for the Lord kept her strong and steadfast. Her courage and strength was amazing and it became the strength for her family members to hold on to when her days where rough.

She is survived by her son, Nicholas Kunkleman; sister, Robin Melton Mohler; brothers, Tom Zerbe - Melbourne, Florida, Tim (Valerie) Melton, Columbus; nephew Jason (Erin) Binkley, Elida; Amber (Burden) Tickle, Elida; Jennifer Melton, Michigan. Her dear friend, Sephanie (Seph) Zimmerman and her awesome canine companion Toby. Several great nieces and nephews in Michigan and Elida. She enjoyed playing ball with her two nephews, Zavier and Gavin Tickle (Elida).

She is also preceded in death by a nephew: Joshua Burden and sister-in-law Pam Zerbe.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 PM on Friday, January 22, 2016 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral, Home in Lima, Ohio.

In celebration of Kim's life, service will begin at 3 PM on Friday January 22, 2016 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima. Rev. William Cronk will offciate. Burial of her ashes will be at a later date in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima, Ohio.
