L. Blake

GENEVA L. BLAKE, 91, died at 6 a.m. December 22, 2006, at Plus Health Care. She was born August 12, 1915, in Union County to John and Ava Smith Epps. On March 21, 1937, she married Eugene Blake, who died February 18, 2000. Mrs. Blake was a homemaker. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, the Lima Memorial Health System Auxiliary, and Crestwood Neighborhood Association. Survivors include a son, Ronald L. (Nancy) Blake, of Elida, Ohio; three sisters, Mabel Schaad, of Columbus, Ohio, and Janet Warick and Velva Weatherby, both of West Mansfield, Ohio; six grandchildren, Wendy Hiett, Kristin Tibbitts, Brett Blake, Bryan Blake, Matthew Blake and Melissa Iiames; and eight great-grandchildren, Mandy Robinson, Jessica Blake, Brook Blake, Chad Hiett, Dillon Tibbitts, Calla Blake, Hunter Iiames and Gage Iiames. She was preceded in death by a son, Larry Blake. Services will begin at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. Daniel Curtis will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Elida. Friends may call from noon to 3 p.m. Tuesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.
