LARRY J. LUCAS, 53, of Lake Forest, California, formerly of Lima, Ohio, died at 8:25 p.m. November 4, 2005, in Santa Ana, California. He was born March 23, 1952, in Lima, Ohio to Jay and Datha Moorman Lucas. His father survives in Lima, Ohio. His mother preceded him in death. On October 18, 1975, he married Paula Applegate, who survives in Lake Forest, California They had just celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary. Mr. Lucas was director of maintenance for Covenent Care Nursing Home in California. He was a graduate of Lima Senior High School and received his bachelor's degree in art from Wright State University. He was a Navy veteran. He loved fishing and being involved with his sons' sports. Survivors also include a daughter, Roxanne Lucas of San Francisco; two sons, Ethan Lucas of San Francisco and Bryan Lucas at home; and three brothers, Daniel (Ellen) Lucas of Scottsdale, Arizona, Randy (Sandy) Lucas of Cape Girardeau, Mo., and Robert (Mandy) Lucas of San Jose, California. Memorial services will begin at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Pilgrim Holiness Church. The Rev. Don Nichols will officiate. Burial was in California.
