Laszlo Hajba,
79, passed peacefully in his sleep on Monday, November 28, 2016, at his residence in Lima.
Laszlo was born on Tuesday, April 13, 1937, outside of Budapest, Hungary. In 1961 he married Darlene Rinaldi who preceded him in death.
Laszlo came to the United States December 7, 1956 through Camp Kilmer in New Jersey. He was part of the resistance in the 1956 Hungarian revolt against Russian occupation. He has been a longtime resident of Lima. Laszlo enjoyed woodworking, working on cars and machinery, and was a fan of the Lima Locos. He worked for Lima Bargain Center for ten years, BP Distribution Center for fourteen years, Ford Motor Company for five years and Fruehauf Trailer Company in Delphos.
He is survived by a son, Michael Hajba of Dayton.
He is preceded in death by his parents Vince and Marie Hajba, his sister, Priska Hajba, his brother Stephen Hajba, and a son, Craig Hajba.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima.
