Laura Welch

Laura Welch, 62, passed away at 7:44 p.m. on Wednesday, April 21, 2021, at her home in Lima.   Laura was born on October 14, 1958, in Lima, Ohio, to Eileen W. (Sands) Welch and Robert Welch.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Ila Welch; granddaughter, Aubriana Welch; grandson, Michael Welch; sisters: Debbie (Richard) Umfleet, Cindy (Kevin) Bruin and Sheila (Mark) Conrad; brother-in-law, Robert Atterbury; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Michael Welch; and sisters: Linda Welch, Susan Brunk and Pamela Atterbury.

Laura retired from St. Rita’s Medical Center where she had worked in patient access.  She loved to watch the Cincinnati Reds; but the true joy of her life were her grandchildren.

Laura’s family would like to give a special thanks to her very best friend, Laura Esmonde.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, April 26, 2021 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.   The memorial service will follow at 1 p.m.  Father Paul Mathews will officiate.  Burial of ashes will be at Gethsemani Cemetery, Lima, OH at a later date.
