Laurel J. Jones,
92, passed away at 8:50 PM on Wednesday, December 16, 2015, at Springview Manor Nursing Home in Lima.
Laurel was born on Friday, June 15, 1923, in West Milton, Ohio, to the late Harry and Nell (West) Stewart. On Saturday, March 22, 1941, in Dayton, she married Kenneth S. Jones who preceded her in death.
She was a homemaker. She was one of the co-founders and a member of the Church of Holy Nativity, Lima and its Altar Guild. She loved her family and also enjoyed crafts, sewing and baking .
She is survived by: a son, Thomas E. (Pat) Jones of North Salem, Indiana; a daughter, Barbara (James) Puma of Elida.
She is preceded in death by: three sisters and two brothers.
The family will receive friends from 9 to 10:30 AM Saturday, December 19, 2015 at Church of the Holy Nativity where a funeral service will begin at 10:30 AM. Rev. Dr. Richard Palmer will officiate. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Lima, Ohio.
The family would like to thank the staff of Springview Manor for all their love, caring and support.
