LAVERNE "BUD" RUDOLPH HOEHN, 77, died at 6 p.m. October 21, 2006, at Lima Memorial Health System. He was born December 6, 1928, in Ottoville, Ohio to Leo and Regina Gergen Hoehn, who preceded him in death. On Januart 12, 1950, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Lima, Ohio, he married Jean Kesner, who survives. Mr. Hoehn was a charter member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. He graduated from St. John's High School, Lima, in 1947. He served honorably in the Navy for three years during the Korean War. He was a manager with Pangles Master Markets for 18 years. He retired in 1993 after working for 18 years at Kewpee. He enjoyed outdoor activities immensely and was an avid golfer and loved bowling with his family. Survivors include three sons, David (Linda) Hoehn, Timothy (Kathy) Hoehn and Daniel Hoehn, all of Lima, Ohio; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marianne Hoehn and Margene (Richard) Dardio, both of Lima, Ohio; and four brothers, Norbert (Twylah) Hoehn, Jerry (Ann) Hoehn, Hubert (Mary) Hoehn and Kenny (Jenny) Hoehn, all of Lima, Ohio. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Pangle and Deloris Ibittson. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. The Rev. Steve Blum will officiate. Burial will be in Gethsemani Cemetery, Lima, with a graveside service by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1275 Lima. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, where a wake will be held at 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.
