LAWRENCE EDWARD "LARRY" LEE, 78, died at 6:59 a.m. January 19, 2006, at St. Rita's Medical Center. He was born September 25, 1927, in Wolcott, New York, to Kenneth and Esther Weldon Lee, who preceded him in death. On October 6, 1951, he married Naomi Moyer, who survives in Elida, Ohio. Mr. Lee had been a truck driver for Otis Wright. He was a member of Pike Mennonite Church, Elida, Ohio, and was involved with Transport for Christ. He was a member of the Gomer Dads Club and had been a volunteer with the Bath Fire Department. He was a Navy veteran serving during World War II, from May 14, 1945, to July 30, 1946. Survivors also include a daughter, Emily Lee of Elida, Ohio; a son, Jake Lee of Wapakoneta, Ohio; a sister, Naomi Henderson of Newark, New York; a brother, Robert E. Lee of Newark, N.Y.; and a special granddaughter, Brandi Acheson of Wapakoneta, Ohio. He was preceded in death a brother, Everett J. Lee. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at Pike Mennonite Church, Elida, Ohio. Pastor Philip Clemens will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to services Monday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Transport for Christ.
