Lela G. Shaner,
94, formerly of Lima, Ohio, died at 8:05 P.M. Wednesday, October 17, 2012, at Canterbury Villa of Alliance in Alliance, Ohio.
Born Friday, May 31, 1918 in Lima, she was the daughter of the late Ray Boop and the late Eva (Chiles) Boop. She married George Shaner who preceded her in death August 4, 1992.
She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Lima.
Surviving are a daughter, Lela Schmitz of Diamond, a daughter-in-law Charlene Krites of Lima, a brother, Roger Boop of Lima, sister-in-law; Jean Ann Boop of Springfield. She is also survived by six Grandchildren, ten Great-Grandchildren, and eight Great-Great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Krites, two brothers, William Boop and Burlin Boop, and a sister, Eva Shaner.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, October 24, 2012, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home,
A Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, October 25, 2012 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home with Rev. Arthur Alexander officiating
Interment will be in Fairmount Cemetery, Uniopolis, OH.
