Leland Dale "Rooster" Hill,
80, died at 2:15 PM on Saturday, August 23, 2014, at Baton Rouge Senior Health Facility in Lima, Ohio.

Leland was born on May 27, 1934, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Leo Henry Hill and Mary Rose (Kruer) Hill.

Leland graduated from Macomber high School in 1952. He served in the United States Army for four years. He worked for the I.B.E.W. Local #8 for over 55 years. He was a member of the VFW. He loved the Ohio State, golfing, Toledo Mudhens, Reds and Bengals, dancing, camping and he was an amateur photographer.

He is survived by: a daughter, Rhonda Sue (Dave E.) Hill-Eisenhauer, and a son, Leland Dale (Rechelle) Hill II, of Lima, OH; three grandchildren, Steven Henry Hill, Kenneth Daniel Hill, and Betheny Marie Hill; two sisters, Rita Hill and Joyce Baden, a brother, Robert Leland Hill.

He was preceded in death by: two brothers, James Hill, and Raymond Hill.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.

A funeral service will begin at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, OH. Rev. Rob White will officiate. Military Rites conducted by VFW Post 1275.
