Leo R. "Ole Man" Stapleton

Leo R "Ole Man" Stapleton, 66, died at 11:10 AM on Monday July 15 2013, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, Ohio.
Leo was born on March 24, 1947 in Jackson, Mississippi to John Stapleton and Minnie (McAfee) Stapleton. Mr. Stapleton was a truck driver. He was a member of Cornerstone Harvest Church. He was an avid fisherman, pool player, and loved playing his guitar. Leo not only loved his family, but his family deeply loved him.
He is survived by: a son Leo Stapleton Jr. of Ft. Wayne, IN, a son Valdis Stapleton of Lima, Ohio, a daughter Erica Stapleton of Lima, Ohio, a son Cory Stapleton of Florida, a son Cliff Stapleton of Delphos, Ohio; eleven grandchildren, four great grandchildren; a sister Johnnie R. Bluford of California, a brother Curtis (Mamie) Stapleton of Lima, Ohio, a brother Robert (Marsha) Stapleton of Lima, Ohio, a sister, Jessie Stapleton of Lima, Ohio, a brother Harold Stapleton of Flint, Michigan, a sister Odessa (Sam) Brown of Lima, Ohio, a brother Elnathan Stapleton of Ft. Wayne, IN, a sister-in-law Annie Stapleton of Lima, Ohio, a brother-in-law Nathaniel Anderson of Lima, Ohio, many nieces & nephews; a special friend Kathi Burton Aldrich of Lima, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by: father John Stapleton; mother Minnie Stapleton; daughter Nicole Stapleton; a brother Jon Stapleton; a sister Evelyn Benton; a sister Christina George; and a sister Gertrude Anderson.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday July 21, 2013 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.
A Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 AM on Monday July 22, 2013 at Cornerstone Harvest Church in Lima, Ohio. Pastor David Roberts will officiate.
Interment will be in Gethsemani Cemetery, Lima, Ohio.
