Leota Carroll

Leota L. Carroll 98, died at 11:45 p.m. Novovember 30, 2007, at The Ridge at Shawnee. She was born February 10, 1909, in Burkettsville to C.C. and Pearl Earhart Corwin, who preceded her in death. Her first husband was Art Jordan. Her second husband was Peter Duran. Her third husband was Charles Carroll. All preceded her in death. Mrs. Carroll was a homemaker. She loved to read. She was always very optimistic and looked on the sunny side of life. She was very fashion conscious. Survivors include two sons, James A. Jordan, of Noblesville, Tenn., and Richard Jordan, of Bakersfield, Calif.; three grandchildren; two nieces, Barbara Evans, of Lima, and Margery Hoover, of Conroe, Texas; a nephew, Joe DaPore, of Lima; a great-nephew, Paul Rizor; and a great-niece, Brenda Rizor. She was preceded in death by a sister, Pauline DaPore. Services will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. William J. Rose will officiate.
