Lila Lentz

LILA ISABEL LENTZ, 84, died at 6:55 p.m. July 25, 2006, at her daughter & son-in-law's Linda & Tony Malcolm's residence. She was born March 11, 1922, in Lima, Ohio to Walter and Sylvia Rockhill Joseph, who preceded her in death. On September 19, 1940, she married Edwin G. Lentz, who died July 10, 1997. Mrs. Lentz retired from Superior Metal. She was a member of St. Gerard Catholic Church. She was the chief executive officer of the Northside Braves Fan Club and a member of the Superior Metal Retirees Club. Survivors include a son, Tim Lentz of Aurora, Colo.; two daughters, Kathy (Gary) Mathias and Linda (Tony) Malcolm, both of Lima, Ohio; and seven grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter, Brianna Mathias. She was preceded in death by two great-grandchildren, Marissa and Tiffany Mathias; a sister, Luella "Dot" Maag; and two brothers, Merle Joseph and Lester Joseph. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. Friday at St. Gerard Catholic Church. Burial will be in Gethsemani Cemetery.
